All-natural is the newest trend in skin and hair care. For years, we’ve been putting toxic chemicals into our bodies that build up and make us feel tired and sick, regardless of whether we eat them or if they seep though our pores through the beauty products we use. And people are finally catching on that natural is better, especially when it comes to natural beauty recipes.

Most stores now have a line of “natural” beauty products. Unfortunately, they often come with a big price tag. Oftentimes, many of these products are not actually “natural,” so it does pay to do your homework to ensure you are getting what you pay for.

Fortunately, making your own beauty products isn’t too difficult. So, if you want beauty products that you know are natural and are also inexpensive, just make them yourself. Here are 3 quick and easy natural beauty recipes you can make at home yourself.

Facial Mask and Toner
Eating good food helps give your body the nutrients it needs to look its best. You can get even more of these vitamins and minerals by putting the good stuff right onto your skin.

You can make an amazingly nutrient-rich face mask that will improve both the tone and texture of your skin by combining one mashed carrot, one mashed avocado, and one beaten egg with a half cup of honey. Stir all the ingredients together well, use two clean fingers (or a makeup applicator) to apply a small amount to your face. Let the mask set for about 15 minutes, and then wash off with cool water.

After you’re washed and nourished your skin, you can use grated cucumber or diluted lemon juice as a toner to help tighten your skin and close up your pores to keep your skin looking clean and youthful.

Hair Conditioner
Many people spend a lot of money on conditioner to make their hair look and feel fabulous. But you don’t have to spend a lot to look like a million bucks. Here’s a great natural recipe that will help save you money and improve the health of your hair.

Mix one egg yolk and a tablespoon of castor oil together and apply it to your hair, from the ends up to the roots. Let sit for about ten minutes, and then rinse thoroughly. You can use this conditioner every so often (twice a week or less) for healthy, shiny hair. If you like to experiment, you can try mixing in some herbs, like basil, calendula, fenugreek, flaxseed, lavender, licorice, marshmallow root, parsley, peppermint, rosemary, sage, or thyme for even stronger, healthier hair.

Hand and Foot Cream
A quick face mask will help make you look great in no time at all, but hands and feet generally require extra special care.

For a foolproof conditioning hand and foot cream, mix together ½ cup of olive oil mixed with natural sea salt. Massage this thoroughly into your hands and feet, leave it to soak for a few minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water.

When it comes to natural beauty recipes, this is only the beginning. You can find hundreds of different combinations in natural beauty books, magazines, and on the Internet. Or you can go to your kitchen cabinet and make your own special creations.shea butter lotion bar
